PROVENANCE: George Henry Jenkins was a West Country artist who painted throughout Devon and Cornwall in both oil and watercolour. He exhibited at the Suffolk Street Galleries in London. Due to his large family, which included 7 children, he painted many commissions, becoming one of the best known Victorian landscape artists of his era. He is reported as an active artist between 1870 and 1910.
