PROVENANCE: Boch La Louviere, family owned ceramics manufactured in Belgium, was founded in 1748. The mark on this tureen dates to 1931. The tureen was brought from Russia, probably by Captain John Lambert, in the 18th century. For centuries, soup tureens have served as the centerpiece of the family table, and used to serve soups, stews, chowder, and broth.
