Vintage Boch La Louviere ironstone lidded tureen. Two ornate handles and ladle make this pretty piece a treasured serving piece for gatherings of family and friends, and beautiful to display in a collection.

PROVENANCE: Boch La Louviere, family owned ceramics manufactured in Belgium, was founded in 1748. The mark on this tureen dates to 1931. The tureen was brought from Russia, probably by Captain John Lambert, in the 18th century. For centuries, soup tureens have served as the centerpiece of the family table, and used to serve soups, stews, chowder, and broth.
