French Louis XVI Mahogany Bouillotte Table. The round top is fitted with cream marble and gilt bronze openwork gallery, over single frieze drawer, raised on four square tapering channeled mahogany legs, joined by lower shelf with gallery. Beautiful as a side table to add charm and elegance to any space.

PROVENANCE: The Bouillotte table takes its name from a popular French card game that emerged in the 18th century. This form of gambling became so popular that a table and lamp were created specifically for the game. Without the felt covering used for the game, the marble-topped table worked perfectly as a side table or server.
