Check out the latest home tour of Style Me Pretty! Charcoal City Maze is spotted looking cozy in this refreshing black and white home. Captured by Ashlee Raubach and styled by Nicole Davis, we love the way the pillow looks against the brown leather couch. Neutrals never looked so good!
Laura of YouDollDesign is back to share her take on color and how to see it and appreciate in your every day life. This can give you more confidence and direction when using color in your space, fashion, and design. Bring on the color Laura!
As an artist, I’m very drawn to harmonious color theory in both works of art and design but also how it can manifest itself in everyday life. You could say that Roy G Biv and I are real tight (not really a person but an acronym for the correct order of the color spectrum). For instance, I’ve always arranged my clothes and books by hue and whenever I play with my kids or put away toys, I find myself grouping Legos and things by their color and then by shade. Something about the order and harmony satisfies and just makes me happy.
Yeah, I’m a little weird (or maybe just OCD) but let’s not confuse this with a rainbow obsession. Yes, they’re magical and beautiful but I think you can find ways of using the color spectrum that doesn’t come across quite as bright and cheesy. So I thought I’d share some colorful eye candy depicting ways the color spectrum can be used in a modern, chic way. See if the effect makes you happy, too!
We love spotting new spaces around the web designed with Caitlin Wilson Textiles, and this New York bedroom is no exception! The bright colors and charming accents are perfect for a little girl with a big imagination.
Head over to Style Me Pretty for more images of the space. Thanks Roxanne!
It’s that time again! Our last CWD Contributor to join the mix is Vanessa Barri. Vanessa is a darling interior designer in southern California and we’re thrilled to have her on board to share inspirations and bright color trends (which you all know is a CW team favorite). Take it away Vanessa…
“Vanessa is a lover of all things interior design and writer/co-founder of Nichole Thèrese Design. You can find her biking to the beach to catch the sunset, collecting antiques and battling pests in her backyard garden. She recently made the move to Southern California from San Francisco and will be sharing her love of color here on the blog.”

We recently stumbled upon this gorgeous living room by Michaela Noelle. She used Navy Deco to add the perfect punch of blue giving the room a cozy but classic feel. Thanks Michaela!
